About

Dive into modern classics, deeply human themes, and the art of the unreliable narrator. This track explores some of the most profound and thought-provoking novels of the modern era. We will focus heavily on how a story is told—examining distinct, unconventional, and sometimes unreliable narrative voices. We will tackle profound ethical dilemmas, historical trauma, and alternate realities, requiring you to think deeply and speak passionately. Language & Fluency Focus: - Mastering Subtext & "Reading the Room": Contemporary authors often leave the most important things unsaid. You will train your English intuition to grasp implied meanings, subtle tensions, and underlying emotions without them being explicitly stated. - Adapting Tone and Style: By reading drastically different narrative voices, you will learn how to adjust your own English tone—shifting from hyper-literal and analytical to poetic and melancholic depending on the situation. - Discussing Complex Ethics: This track requires you to formulate and defend moral stances. You will develop the high-level vocabulary needed to debate ethics, human rights, and philosophy respectfully and articulately. - Modern Idioms & Phrasing: Unlike older classics, these books provide a masterclass in how modern, educated native speakers actually structure their thoughts and sentences today.
